What is this?
Certmap searches the public registers of six schemes at once: ISCC, Better Biomass (NTA 8080), REDcert, NVWA, GMP+ and Vihb (NIWO). Data is fetched live from each source and normalised to one common shape: status (valid, suspended, withdrawn, historical), validity dates, holder name, issuing authority and, when available, the audit PDF.
Built for trading, transport, processing and compliance in the biofuel/biomass supply chain: instantly check whether a supplier is certified, under which scheme, what scope the certificate covers and when it expires.
Which schemes?
ISCC
International Sustainability and Carbon Certification. The most-used scheme for sustainable biomass and biofuels in Europe. Certmap supports ISCC EU (RED II), ISCC PLUS and ISCC CORSIA. Roughly 15,000 active certificates worldwide.
Better Biomass / NTA 8080
Dutch sustainability scheme run by NEN, based on NTA 8080. "Better Biomass" and "NTA 8080" refer to the same scheme: NTA 8080 is the technical norm, Better Biomass the brand name. For biomass, biofuels and bio-based products. Active in the Netherlands and Belgium. About 280 certificates in the register.
REDcert
German certification scheme under the EU Renewable Energy Directive. Strongly represented in the German and Central-European biofuel market. Supports REDcert-EU, REDcert-DE and REDcert². About 33,000 records (of which ~3,000 currently valid).
NVWA
Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority. Mandatory authorisations and registrations for companies in animal feed, animal by-products, biogas installations, transport and more. Government open data (CC0). Roughly 18,000 records across 12 categories.
GMP+
Global feed-safety standard originating from the Netherlands. Mandatory across the animal-feed chain: transport, storage, trade, production, laboratories. Started by the Dutch compound-feed industry after the MPA affair; now active in ~85 countries. Around 20,000 active certified locations.
Vihb (NIWO)
Mandatory Dutch registration for anyone transporting, collecting, trading or brokering waste. Maintained by NIWO under the Dutch Environmental Management Act. Operating in the Netherlands without a Vihb registration is a criminal offence. About 29,000 registrations.
A free service by TransportPlan
Certmap is offered free of charge by TransportPlan, the planning and administration platform for trading, transport and processing of bulk and manure. We built this for our own customers in the bio supply chain and share it with everyone.
Alerts
Sign in with your email address to automatically be notified when a certificate of a specific supplier changes status (for example suspended or withdrawn). Works across all schemes: you subscribe by cert-id and Certmap automatically detects whether it is an ISCC, Better Biomass or REDcert certificate. Notifications by email or push in your browser.

Data comes 1-to-1 from the public registers of iscc-system.org, betterbiomass.com (via NEN), redcert.org, the NVWA, GMP+ International and the NIWO (Vihb). Certmap is not affiliated with any of these organisations; this service simply adds a unified search layer and alerts.
